Volunteering at AWWA

Volunteers have always been close to our hearts, because AWWA was started in 1970 by a visionary group of volunteers who sought to empower the disadvantaged, maximising their potential to lead dignified and independent lives. In celebration of #InternationalVolunteerDay, we would like to say a BIG thank you to all our steadfast volunteers who continue to be dedicated partners in our journey. 😀 Let’s hear from one of our passionate youth volunteers, Jun Ray.

“I’ve been volunteering with AWWA for a number of years since 2016 at AWWA School, AWWA Dementia Day Care (DDCC) Centre and AWWA Senior Community Home. In recent years, I’ve truly enjoyed forming connections especially with the seniors in DDCC and hearing their stories. Through them, I have learnt about Singapore from the past, met so many unique personalities and had numerous interesting conversations.

Thank you to AWWA for providing the opportunity and platform to build these relationships and years of meaningful experiences.”

P.S. Keen to learn how you can make a difference in the lives of our clients? Head over to https://www.awwa.org.sg/volunteer-with-us/ to sign up!
