Established in 1997, AWWA Active Ageing Centre (AAC), previously known as AWWA Senior Activity Centre, serves as an anchor in the community to empower seniors to age in place. It also supports the population-based community care system through proactive outreach programmes, with the aim of establishing a fully integrated community.

The centre works closely with AWWA Community of Care (CoC) to improve the health & well-being of the community by establishing a network of service providers and developing structured protocols for seamless care transitions. Seniors are proactively outreached, profiled for their care needs, and are connected with different services based on their individualised health and social needs.

   Key ABC suite of services:

  • Active ageing programmes such as physical exercises, game sessions, birthdays and festive celebrations, karaoke sessions, and handicraft interest groups.
  • Befriending and buddying services.
  • Information and referral to Care services.
