Since 2014, AIA Singapore is an ardent supporter of AWWA’s causes. Just last year, AIA Singapore raised $130,000 for AWWA through its Charity Sale, employee-to-employee giving and corporate giving. AIA Singapore undertook projects of great scale to benefit AWWA, such as cleaning at AWWA Senior Community Home, AIA Christmas Wish List etc. Notably, the AIA Christmas Wishlist saw nearly 500 wishes fulfilled and delivered to our clients by the employees of AWWA.
In 2015, AIA Singapore continues its corporate giving and volunteering spirit with AWWA. This year, in celebration of SG50, AIA Singapore has raise $250,000 to benefit 50 families from AWWA. To fundraise for the amount, AIA Singapore has pledged to donate S$1 to the fund for every AIA insurance policy purchased in 2015, up to a maximum of $100,000. Besides organising yet another charity bazaar, AIA Singapore will be featuring AWWA children and youth’s artworks for their AIA Calendar 2016. For each calendar sold, AIA Singapore will add $0.50 and the proceeds of the sales and the donation will help to meet the fundraising target. AIA Singapore is looking into carrying more volunteer activities with different AWWA services’ clients as well as carrying on with the wish fulfilment in December 2015.
