Teacher Melissa, AWWA Celebrates 50

Being part of AWWA Celebrates 50

“AWWA will be organising our first online fundraiser event “AWWA Celebrates 50” on 4th December 2020, Friday, from 5pm – 6pm. There will be special performances from our clients and staff. Let’s hear from one of our staff, Melissa Sidek, who will be singing at our virtual event!
‘I have been working in AWWA for over 12 years. As a Senior Early Interventionist, I work with children with special needs in AWWA Early Intervention Centre and First Leap. I have a great passion in singing and an immense love for the arts and music. With my special talent, I used it in my teachings to encourage children to express themselves well through singing and music. I want to see them grow as unique individuals. However, it takes a village to raise a child and these children and their caregivers do need a lot of support from the community. This has motivated me to perform for our clients AWWA’s annual fundraiser event, AWWA Celebrates 50. I have spent time to carefully select a song and have rehearsed for the performance. I am honoured to be invited to perform for AWWA and I do hope everyone in the community offer their helping hands! No effort is too small!”
