Child Minding – EIC

• Engage and play with children with additional needs while their parents/caregivers attend support group activities.
• Prepare the space for play with the children before the session starts.
• Clean and tidy up the space after the session ends.
Volunteer briefing will be provided before the session to share on play strategies and things to note for the children in the sessions.
Min commitment: 6 months

• Dedicated, patient, and sensitive to our student’s conditions and abilities. • Calm under pressure. • Alert and attentive to children’s needs at all times. • Be proactive and have a good level of initiative. • Experience working with children with special needs would be an advantage.

Responsiblity

• To assist staff in-charge in childminding and oversee children’s free play activity, while parents attend the training workshop • Supporting the staff in-charge in setting up and clearing the activity area • To sit with child/children and encourage their participation in games and activities
