Marcus is the Group Chief Human Resources (HR) Officer at the Mandai Wildlife Group. As a member of the executive leadership team at Mandai, he plays an instrumental role in the rejuvenation of Mandai Precinct into an integrated nature and wildlife destination. Besides leading the Human Resources and Organisational Development functions at Mandai, he also oversees the procurement and insurance portfolios for the Group. Since 2019, Marcus also volunteers as an HR Committee Member for the Samaritans of Singapore.
Marcus comes with more than 20 years of HR experience in the government, aviation and tourism sectors. Having rotated in different HR roles, Marcus is well-versed in all HR disciplines. As a rewards and benefits specialist, Marcus has led many projects related to salary structure and benefits reviews, harmonised employment terms as a result of merger and acquisition, and set up HR operations for new start-ups.
Marcus holds a First-Class Honours degree in Business Studies (double major in Human Resources Management and Organisational Communication) from New Zealand’s University of Waikato. He also graduated with a Specialist Diploma in Compensation & Benefits Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.
