Care Beyond Walls

Care Beyond Walls (CBW) by AWWA transforms dementia care by taking support outside traditional care settings and into the community.

Through partnerships with schools, charities, and local groups, seniors living with dementia engage in volunteering, intergenerational activities, and skill-building opportunities. This enables persons living with dementia to find joy, connection, and renewed purpose, while also fostering a more inclusive and understanding society, and demonstrating that care truly goes far beyond walls.

Launched in 2022 by AWWA and Lien Foundation, and in collaboration with The Care Lab, IELO Design, and Tri-Sector Associates, this initiative has been recognised with the National Community Care Excellence Team Award, reflecting its impact in reshaping dementia care experiences.
