Everyday Language – Using Language Experience and Shared Book Approach to teach literacy to students with special needs.
AWWA School’s language programme aims to enable our students to learn language in meaningful and engaging ways, towards achieving functional communication and literacy.
Our language programme provides multiple means of engagement, representation and expression through various forms of prints, to meet students’ diverse learning needs and interests.
Using traditional language experience and shared book approaches, students will acquire essential skills such as comprehension and expression, with the adapted resources, modified lessons and meaningful everyday experiences.
