Four individuals and three teams received the National Medical Excellence Awards (NMEA) this year, for excellence in the areas of care quality, patient safety, research, education, training, and community health. The annual national award recognises the efforts of outstanding clinicians, clinician scientists and other healthcare professionals for their contributions, acknowledging their achievements in advancing healthcare, improving patient safety standards, driving research and education, and promoting better health in the community.

A team of three staff from AWWA, Ms Chua Shi Jia, Ms Rianna Chia and Ms Maria Ng, was awarded the National Community Care Excellence Team Award for their contributions towards the Care Beyond Walls programme, redefining traditional centre-based dementia care.
