Fifteen individuals were honoured for their contributions to Singapore’s social service sector, including the founder of the country’s first inclusive pre-school. The awards recognised their dedication and impact in areas such as early childhood education, eldercare, and support for vulnerable groups. The ceremony highlighted the importance of inclusive and compassionate service in building a caring society.
Mr J.R. Karthikeyan, Chief Executive Officer of AWWA, received the President’s Award. He was recognised for his contributions, including starting Singapore’s first inclusive pre-school, Kindle Garden Preschool and a therapy hub.
