Allied Health Professional Services

The Social Work department works collaboratively with the IEP team (comprising of teaching staff and allied professionals), families and other stakeholders to support our students in maximising their potential.

Through family-centred and strengths-based practices, the Social Work Department aims to enhance the quality of life for our students and their families. The social workers address specific challenges families may face when parenting their child with special needs via casework and counselling and family engagement & support programmes.

The department seeks to build families’ resilience and positive interactions between family members, increase awareness of available support and resources, and help families stay socially connected with the community.
