Senior Community Home (SCH) provides accommodation for low-income seniors without family support. SCH is the first community home to be housed within a HDB rental block, thus enabling elderly residents to remain integrated in the larger community in which they live in. This warm and cosy community residence welcomed its first 20 seniors during its establishment in 1976. Occupying levels two to four of the block, it is home to 140 seniors today.

Residents are empowered to take care of their own units and daily living needs. Regular activities are organised to maintain physical, mental and social well-being. SCH also offers guidance and counselling and provide a communal living environment which creates mutual care and support in their community home.

Some of the services offered at SCH are:

  • On-going health supervision / screening
