The Special Student Care Centre (SSCC) aims to provide caregivers of children with special needs, with the opportunity to be financially viable by providing physical care, and opportunities for these children to socialise across various situations, and demographics.


Aims of AWWA SSCC:


  1. Provide physical care and a platform for socialisation.
  2. Enrich each child’s quality of life through various activities.
  3. Provide respite to parents / caregivers.
  4. Allow parents / guardians to return to the workforce and earn active income for the family.


Admission Criteria:


  • Aged 7 – 18 years
  • Currently enrolled in a special education (SPED) school
  • Diagnosed by a registered medical practitioner in Singapore to have Autism Spectrum Disorder, or an intellectual and / or physical disability
  • Able to work in small groups and need minimal to moderate assistance in activities of daily living
  • A Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident with at least one family member who is a Singapore Citizen


The enrichment activities conducted within SSCC are carefully planned and designed to provide opportunities for students to learn daily living skills and explore, discover, and broaden their perspectives.
