People Giving To People

Throughout the past 45 years, corporate team members have given hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours in support of AWWA’s communities, raising awareness and supporting children & youth, families, the elderly and caregivers.

Now more than ever, businesses and corporations are embracing service programmes and lending their most valuable asset – their employees and the time, talent, skills and enthusiasm of these individuals – to make a difference in their communities.

Corporate volunteering provides your company with the opportunity to develop staff skills, build teams and bolster your company’s reputation within our communities; demonstrating to your stakeholders, consumers and staff your commitment to changing the lives of people by giving invaluable time.

Whether company-run or employee-initiated, corporate volunteering programmes provide teams with a variety of opportunities to get involved and create a positive, life-changing impact by giving back. Volunteering also increases employee job satisfaction, which improves corporate culture and recruitment and retention of employees. Volunteer projects in support of AWWA’s programmes provide employees with a fun way to collaborate with colleagues in a unique setting while making a profound and highly meaningful contribution to people.

Through your volunteer hours, corporations have helped AWWA to push beyond the frontiers of special needs education, address the healthcare issues facing the elderly, and provided counselling services for families in need – to make a profound difference through People Giving To People.
