AWWA to me is…“inclusion and innovation”.
Pooja was seconded from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to AWWA in January 2020 and currently overseas Corporate Development, which also comprises Corporate Affairs. Prior to joining AWWA, she oversaw policy, data and funding for the social service sector’s manpower needs.
Pooja also conceptualised and piloted MSF’s discrete early intervention (EI) programmes into an EI Continuum – a flexible, child-centric and resource-efficient continuum of support options that are currently being mainstreamed.
As a mother of two, Pooja is passionate about helping vulnerable children and their families through the development of holistic and outcome-driven programmes related to inclusion, EI, learning support, mental health, parenting, and out-of-home care.
Pooja started her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was previously posted to the Singapore High Commission in London as First Secretary.
She holds a Masters in International Policy Studies, and a Bachelors in Economics.
