Head, Corporate Development

AWWA to me is…“understanding and growing inclusion”.

Pooja joined AWWA in January 2020 to oversee AWWA’s Impact evaluation, Innovation and Inclusion efforts, as well as the Corporate Affairs team.

Prior to joining AWWA, Pooja was with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) overseeing policy, data and funding for the social service sector’s manpower needs. She also conceptualised and piloted MSF’s discrete early intervention (EI) programmes into an EI Continuum – a flexible, child-centric and resource-efficient continuum of support options that have now been mainstreamed.

As a mother of two, Pooja is passionate about helping vulnerable children and their families through the development of holistic and outcome-driven programmes related to EI, learning support and inclusion, mental health, family preservation, and out-of-home care. She has also been active as a volunteer, donor and board member of various child and family-focused charities in the US and Singapore.

Pooja started her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was previously posted to the Singapore High Commission in London as First Secretary. She holds a Masters in International Policy Studies from Stanford University and a BA in Economics from Cornell University.
