Our third AWWA Inclusion Experts Series webinar of 2021 happened online via Zoom 4 September 2021, Saturday.
Some key highlights that Dr Kate shared include:
- Compassion in Education – what compassion is, and what it isn’t
- Compassionate Teacher-Student Relationships
- Wellbeing for Educators – learning the skills of self-compassion
We hope that you had a fruitful session, and brought home with you useful takeaways, including compassion in education, building compassionate teacher-student relationships and learning the skills of self-compassion. We are also glad to hear that many of you who joined us this morning found the session very enriching. Check out some positive feedback from the participants:
“Hey, Kate! Your session has benefitted me A LOT, and addressed the key questions that I have been having in mind” – Nina Syazwani, a session participant
“This was such an affirming and eye-opening session which validated and spoke to a lot of the struggles I think us educators have in the classroom but can only be felt, as well as showing us that there are tools to help us and our children, highlighting different ways to approach them from a place of love. Thank you so much for this, Dr Kate!” – Anonymous, session participant.
