DayOne mental health programme

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) is expanding its DayOne mental health programme into the community to better support parents of children with special needs, following a pilot from 2022 to 2024 that found 65% of such parents require mental health support. Partnering with AWWA and Allkin Singapore, and backed by a $4 million Lien Foundation grant, the initiative will offer tiered mental health screening and support at early intervention centres, aiming to make services more accessible, reduce stigma, and introduce new parent-child interventions, ultimately benefiting over 1,000 parents between 2025 and 2028.
