Each respective group, led by their teachers and volunteers had to travel from one point to another using public transportation i.e. the MRT and SBS buses.  Upon finding the respective stations, they were then required to complete tasks that entailed use of the following domains: gross motor; fine motor, cognitive, language and self-help. While planning and organising for the event, the SHINE Camp Committee had several objectives in mind.  These included providing our pupils with a positive, fun and successful experience through games and activities; creating a safe ‘camping’ environment providing opportunities for mobility training, learning to display appropriate behaviour in public, as well as encouraging participants to cherish their relationships with their peers, and to work as a team.

After their hard work of ‘racing’ around the island, our pupils enjoyed the barbeque held at the school compound and had a good camp in the school auditorium which had been decorated as a mock-up ‘jungle’.  Fortunately there were no wild animals and everyone had a well-deserved rest! The camp went smoothly and the participants had a great learning experience while having fun.  Special Thanks to the SHINE Camp Committee, teachers and volunteers who made the event a success
