History

Launched in January 2010, EXCELerate Services is a pilot project for young adults (between the ages of 18 to 25) supported by NCSS. 

Objectives 

• To encourage young adults to resume alternative vocational/academic based education/skills.
  
  
• To equip participants with economically sustainable skills so as to enhance employability.
  
  
• To prepare economically ready young adults with the ability to be self-reliant so as to support themselves and their families.
  

• Track 1: Back to/ Remain in mainstream education (GCE 'N'/ 'O' Levels, ITE)
  
  
• Track 2: WDA/WSQ Certified Courses
  
  
• Track 3: On-The-Job Training (OJT)

• Family Support Services
  
  
• Financial Training & Guidance
  
  
• Corporate Services Collaboration
  

Target Group

• Age between 18 and 25 years old
  
  
• Do not hold formal academic education certificate (GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ levels)
  
  
• Seeking for better skill and employment opportunities
